In her paintings, artist Judith Lansink invites us into expanses of light and colour that hover between landscape and texture. Her work evokes the vastness of nature while hinting at an inner emotional terrain. Each canvas seems to breathe with both stillness and movement: the horizon may stretch endlessly, or the sky blush with untameable, yet tranquil tones. Lansink’s work captures a sense of time suspended: a moment when day dissolves into dusk, land into sea, or a thought filters into feeling. There is a gentle tension between the familiar — a horizon line, a cloud-shape, an ambiguous depth — and the abstract, where form and meaning blur.

Her paintings beckon the viewer to linger, to wander into her fluid compositions. Without relying on explicit narrative, she evokes mood, memory, and the subtle presence of things just beyond reach. The result is art that is accessible yet resonant: you can simply enjoy the colour and composition, or you can pause and let the work quietly ask questions of stillness, distance, and the unknown. At the Knock Knock Art Fair, her newest series offers an invitation to pause, to experience expansiveness in the moment, and to carry the horizon with you afterward.

Come and meet work that whispers rather than shouts—where atmosphere and nuance are the true protagonists.
